Overcome Scatter with Simple Strategy

It’s the start of a new year with many resolutions being to be more focused, more efficient, more effective, etc… However, we are up against a constant barrage of information each and everyday; a barrage that has no signs of slowing. The bad news is, our consumers are up against the same enemy; leaving the collective population “Scattered.” This overwhelming amount of information causes a tremendous amounts of negative characteristics; paralysis, apathy, anger, stress; to name a few.  This “Scatter” is typically a result of multiple marketing units trying to communicate their message to their consumer all at once, across multiple channels.

With this problem identified, what can we do, as brands, to overcome, support, and facilitate a better life. Easy; simplify. With the abundance of information and communication channels, we feel the overwhelming need to overpopulate, over communicate, and over sell our products, services, and brand; only to add to the amount of information overload. By becoming a brand that is integrated into the lifestyle of our consumer we can become a shelter from the scatter and provide a calmness that other brands can’t. We need to make our brand easy to understand, easy to follow, easy to interact with with a surprising amount of delight and excitement. This is done with an integrated and streamlined brand strategy, plan, and execution. Coupled with the collaboration of the various communication departments, we can add the value of simplicity of communication to our consumer. We will soon see that our brand becomes something more to our consumer. Something that supports their life; something that facilitates their daily routine, minimizing scatter and optimizing delight.
